Why does Superior Metal Buildings cost more than kit suppliers?
Because we are not selling you a kit. We are building you an engineered steel structure designed for Florida's wind load requirements, on a proper concrete foundation, with reinforced connections. Kit buildings are shipped in boxes. Our buildings are built from the ground up by Ken personally. When the next hurricane comes through, you will understand the difference. We are not the cheapest option. We are the right option.
What is the difference between an engineered steel building and a kit building?
Kit buildings come pre-cut from a factory and are assembled on site. Engineered steel buildings are custom-designed for your specific site and Florida's wind load code requirements, with stronger connections and proper foundations. In Florida, where hurricanes are a real threat, this difference matters.

What does turnkey mean and what exactly is included?
Turnkey means we handle everything: site evaluation, concrete slab or foundation, site preparation, the steel structure itself, and permit assistance. One call. One contractor. Done.
How long does it take to build a metal structure?
Most Superior Metal Buildings structures are completed in approximately 60 days, depending on size and complexity. Ken will give you an honest timeline during your free consultation.

Are your buildings rated for Florida's wind load requirements?
Yes. Every Superior Metal Buildings structure is engineered to meet Florida's wind load code requirements. This is one of the reasons our buildings cost more than kit suppliers who ship panels without local engineering.
Has a Superior Metal Buildings structure ever collapsed in a hurricane?
No. Not once. That record is the result of building to Florida's engineering standards, reinforced connections, and never cutting corners.
Do I need a permit for a metal building in Florida?
In most cases yes, especially for permanent structures. We include permit assistance as part of our turnkey service. Ken will walk you through what is required for your specific project.

What warranties come with a Superior Metal Buildings structure?
Every structure includes a 40-year material warranty on steel panels, a 10-year frame warranty on structural components, and a 5-year labor warranty on workmanship.
